CHRISTIANS WITH AND/OR FAMILIES, CARETAKERS, MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AFFECTED BY AND OVERCOMING CANCER

Ps 10:12 Arise, LORD! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless.NIV

Christians overcoming Cancer: This word "Arise" in the Hebrew means to exert power; put in motion; getting up and getting started; to emerge from a particular position; ascending by body, soul or spirit.

Sometimes, when I was in the most difficult times of feeling really awful during the challenge of cancer surgeries, treatments, emotional upheaval, etc. arising was the last thing I wanted to do! However, I knew I could count on God to arise in my circumstances, even if I could not.

It was at this time, the Word of God I had in my heart meant more than ever: such as, Ps 35:2Contend (convince and reclaim) and fight for me, in my weakness, (paraphrase mine), O LORD, with those things that contend (struggle, strive, dispute with me); fight (To resist and win victory over) against those who fight against me.2 Take up Your shield and buckler; arise and come to my aid.NIV

In my need and in my weakness, God made His strength known, but the  key to victory and GOD Arising in our circumstances is

Knowing the Word of God goes out of our mouths and accomplishes the purpose for which it is sent - it does not return void! WE must read, know and useThe Word of God and declare His Word by speaking it out. God spoke and declared, and the world was formed by the words of His mouth! We are made in the image of God. God wants us to do our part by receiving, believing and acting on His Word. That is our part and our victory. It is one thing to just think of something but when we speak it out - the declaration of speaking gives power to Gods Word and puts that word into motion for our good. The Bible says there is life and death in the power of the tongue. That is what it means: speak the Word for our good. Submit to God, resist the devil and the devil must flee. Wow, God made it so all of us could be victorious by knowing Him and His Word!

The Word of God tells us in Ephesians 6, our fight is not against flesh and blood but a spiritual battle. The Word also tells us that in 2 Cor 10:3 It is true that I am an ordinary, weak human being, but I dont use human plans and methods to win my battles. 4 I use Gods mighty weapons, not those made by men, to knock down the devils strongholds (but the Word of God). 5 These weapons (the Word of God) can break down every proud argument against God and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding him. With these weapons (the Word of God) I can capture rebels and bring them back to God and change them into men whose hearts desire is obedience to Christ. TLB

God wants us to know when we are too weak too arise, we can speak His Word over our life and every situation, and He will ARISE IN OUR BEHALF! Isnt that wonderful news! All we have to do is call on Him as our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Lord of Lords and King of Kings: He is awaiting to ARISE IN OUR BEHALF!

Isa 60:1"Arise , shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. 3 Nations will come to your light,NIV

Todays Prayer: "Father, I pray for all who have need of You to Arise in their circumstances, that they may be filled with overflowing hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Arise, dearest Lord Jesus, in their behalf and battle for them. Bring total wholeness to every area of their life: body, soul and spirit. In Jesus Mighty Name I pray. Amen"
